QR Business Card
A pocket-sized paper edition for outreach tables, community spaces and everyday sharing. The QR code gives people a direct path to The People's Portal.

Civic Keys & Community Impact
Change can feel bigger than one person. Civic Key is designed to make the first step easier: scan one QR code, find trusted civic information, and choose a practical way to act from your neighborhood through the federal level.
A practical starting point
You do not have to understand every level of government, follow politics every day, or know the right office before you begin. Pick the issue that matters to you, find the level where action belongs, and start with one achievable step.
Learn about the issue and understand your options.
Connect with neighbors, groups and community resources.
Find meetings, officials, departments and county agencies.
Find Michigan representatives, agencies and legislation.
Contact federal representatives and follow national issues.
Physical Civic Keys
The current plan includes two paper formats and two wearable pendant formats. Every version opens the same essential civic information—the format changes, not the access. Premium materials will not put civic information behind a paywall.

Buy one. Give back.
The PVC Civic Key will launch at a $10 introductory price, and the Metal Civic Key will retail for $20. We plan to donate 25% of the proceeds from each purchase to an organization chosen by the customer.
A separate portion of proceeds can also support the production and distribution of more Civic Keys in community spaces, helping more people reach free civic information.
Your purchase can support both a chosen organization and broader community access.
Select a participating organization you want your purchase to support.
Additional support can help place Civic Keys in libraries, programs, events and other community spaces.
Purchasing a physical Civic Key never changes access to the Portal's civic resources.
Before sales begin, purchase details will identify participating organizations and explain donation timing, fulfillment and how the community-distribution portion is allocated.
For organizations
Civic Key can serve as a simple bridge between the people an organization serves and civic information they may need next.

Organization contact
Contact The People's Portal about outreach materials, distribution, partnerships, corrections, or accessibility needs.
Future organization impact layer
Organizations could see how shared Civic Keys connect people with community resources—using generalized totals and broad community trends instead of named civic profiles.
Illustrative numbers only. These are interface examples, not actual Civic Key participation data or organization results.
Broad community-level summaries could help partners understand reach and find resource gaps without identifying an individual person.
Example categories demonstrate the dashboard concept; they are not measured community activity.
Aggregate totals
No public names or individual activity histories.
No political profiling
No voting choices, party preferences, or inferred beliefs.
Minimum reporting thresholds
Small groups should be combined or withheld to reduce re-identification risk.
Anonymous Key & Referral
Future physical keys can use random identifiers instead of people's names. Share a key, bookmark, card or portal link and help someone discover a resource without needing recognition or credit.

A future live system should define neutral referral/action metrics, prevent duplicate or automated inflation, and never reward activity based on a candidate, party, political position or voting choice.
Small actions still count
That person may become a voter, volunteer, public-meeting attendee, poll worker, neighborhood organizer—or simply a better-informed member of their community.
Carry it. Share it. Sponsor it. Use it.
You don't have to change the entire country today. Start with one issue, one resource, one phone call, one meeting or one neighbor.
